When I stad in comedy, there were few ways to get stage time…Primarily, you performed at open mics till you were good enough to go to the auditions that the various clubs had..In between you might have tested your chops in some road rooms in the New Jersey, Upstate New York and CT. areas….But in general getting stage time was difficult.
