Setting out to achieve his lifelong dream to be a filmmaker, Deniz Göktaş accidentally found himself doing stand up comedy in a squeaky basement in the old town of Istanbul, which threw him into a career of stand up comedy and in a short period of time found himself being one of the highest selling stand-up comedian in Turkey with his dreams of being a filmmaker being shattered. Together with his successful column he occupied on Uykusuz Comics Magazine and his critically acclaimed podcast series ‘Deniz Göktaş’a Ayıracak Vaktim Yok’ (eng. Time due for Deniz Göktaş’, he has been intriguing his Turkish audience all over the world with his politically charged, witty and dry brand of stand-up comedy.
